Job Description

1. Contribute to the development of the Cristal Global Academy and associated global Learning & Development systems and processes. Lead implementation within the Region
2. Participate in the development of global curricula and programmes and lead implementation within the Region
3. Develop and deliver local curricula and programmes in alignment with global standards
4. Lead or participate in the delivery of specific programmes within the global curriculum
5. Support the development and on-going maintenance of Cristal Competencies, Skills Dictionaries and Competence Assurance processes
6. Contribute to the development and maintenance of global learning technology platforms and manage their implementation and utilisation within the Region
7. Participate in the Regional Workforce Planning process and establish effective people development strategies to meet identified needs
8. Develop, implement and evaluate annual training, learning and development plans within the Region
9. Manage accreditation and qualification structures within the region
10. Manage the Regional Learning and Development budget and maintain an overview of Learning & Development expenditure within Functional budgets
11. Manage and develop the regional Learning & Development Team
12. Establish, maintain and manage relationships with external Learning and Development partners in the Region
13. Source, audit and quality assure external training provision
14. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all training, learning and development activities and drive continuous improvement to maximise contribution to business results
15. Identify sources and secure external funding support for training, learning and development activities within the Region
16. Provide advice, guidance and coaching to SME’s within the region and coordinate their involvement in training design and delivery and technical coaching and mentoring programmes
17. Provide advice, guidance and coaching to line managers in relation to their people development activities
Participate in industry and professional networks to facilitate professional development and best practice sharing

Skills

• Professional accreditation/qualification in Training and Development with a degree in Human Resource Development, HRM, Psychology or related field preferred.

• Typically 7-10 years Learning & Development and/or related business experience, with previous experience of leading training and development activities at a senior level
• Knowledge and experience of both technical and management training and development
• Sound knowledge of learning and development processes, educational and accreditation structures and external funding support arrangements
• Knowledge of relevant competence assurance and regulatory training requirements
• Knowledge of competency based assessment techniques
• Knowledge of e-learning, blended learning and action learning techniques
• Well developed facilitation skills and experience of facilitating learning and improvement activities at a management level
• Knowledge of Business Coaching and Mentoring techniques – formal accreditation preferred
• Knowledge of Psychometric testing and Assessment techniques, formal accreditation preferred
• High level of written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong IT skills (MS Office, SAP, Sharepoint, Captivate, LMS/LCMS)
• Good level of systemic thinking
• Familiar working within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiar within the Chemical sector or related industry preferred
