Job Description
Report To: Managing Director
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implementing and coordinating Company IT strategies and multiple simultaneous projects
2. Providing ongoing management of all IT issues including planning, budgeting, deployment and supplier relations.
3. Hands-on management to equip the business with the required Information Technology solutions and support to run the business at its full capacity.
4. Information Security Compliance, Risk Assessments Identity and Access Management.
5. Providing overall management direction for the IT infrastructure of the business including IT planning, staffing and budgeting.
6. Ensuring that staff and management are kept informed of the Department’s status, including project assignment and deliverables, through regular distribution of status reports and updated project plans as well as monitoring actual performance against forecasts, escalate variances, and update project plans/budgets as necessary.
7. Providing overall direction and management overview for the implementation of projects, and take responsibility for the ongoing support and maintenance after their implementation.
8. Manage and coordinate all internal software development efforts, such as updates to the Company Internet Site and development of internal tracking systems.
9. Managing the IT helpdesk functions, assuring that a cost effective and efficient level of service is being provided to the internal staff utilizing the IT infrastructure. Implement a tracking system to document and report on assistance being provided.
10. Assisting with the coordination, management, and writing of the technology pieces for proposals and responses as assigned.
11. Providing assistance in determining customer requirements and the effective application of technology for projects and proposals.
12. Liaising with suppliers to ensure positive and effective relationships and the provision of required IT solutions.
13. Providing inventory management for all IT components.
14. Maintaining the Company IT Department Quality Assurance Operations Manual to meet QA Guidelines
15. Involvement and participation in Company meetings and functions as required.
Skills
Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent IT qualification, Proven experience of managing an IT Team and a minimum of two years in a similar role. Previous experience in the maintenance and continuous development of all software packages and specialist database technology.
Desired Professional Skills:
Excellent organizational skills combined with an extensive knowledge of IT practices. Management experience in an IT environment including both operational support and software development responsibilities.Experience of working with vendors, consultants and subcontractors.Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft systems, Virtual environments and applications.IT planning and budgeting experience. Structured project management methodologies and software development. Highly advanced IT skills in regards to hardware, software and network applications. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, supervise and support other IT staff. Strong analytical skills and effective positive problem solving abilities. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously. Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to take responsibility and be accountable
