1. Job Purpose:

  • Responsibility is to solicit vendors for the best pricing without compromising quality according to objectives set by management. , Specialist is responsible for managing Foods department and their specifications, analyse cost and savings when ordering goods or services

2. Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate with operations & maintenance team to understand the materials technical and detailed specifications
  • Coordinate with key operation & maintenance on the development and implementation of annual category strategies and plans in order to achieve category goals and objectives
  • Coordinate with Maintenance team to build the minimum stock level for spare parts.
  • Scopes and develops a demand management strategy for each item within categories and sub-categories lists
  • Maintain master supplier lists & update regularly.
  • Ensures that categories, and sub-categories data of Foods operations is completed and that the prices, specifications and descriptions are accurate
  • Groups categories and sub-categories into lists detailing supplier requirements and associated costs.
  • Maintains and updates the categories and sub-categories lists with recent information as specified by Foods operations & Maintenance
  • Develops a category governance model based on the Foods business operations and procurement policies and guidelines
  • Assesses the activities of categories and sub-categories management and recommends improvement
  • processes as per the industry leading practices
  • Shares expert knowledge about categories and sub-categories management across Foods functions and operations in order to support their activities
  • Establishes and builds strong working relationships and communication channels with the Foods operations personnel in order to capture all details related to materials, categories, and sub-categories

3. Operating Environment:

  • A procurement technician works in an office setting with several other technicians. As a procurement technician, an individual may be assigned to various commodity or service group.

4. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Qualifications :

  • Diploma or Degree (Mechanical)

Experience :

  • 4 years in Poultry Processing Plant & Poultry Equipments

Job specific Skills :

  • communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ( MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint , MS- Word & MS – Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of English and Arabic

5. Competencies:

  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Awareness of import procedures
  • Strong math skills
