Job Purpose:
The Accountant AR is responsible for the accounts receivable accounting functions of the SBU. He is responsible for updating day to day financial transactions of Accounts Receivable.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure Maintenance of Records:
- Responsible for all day to day financial transactions of accounts receivables.
- Update payments from Customers and send a receipt copy to the Sales Department.
- Allocate Invoices against receipts.
- Ensures that historical and current data is received in a timely and efficient manner and that receipts can be reported on and recorded in the system accurately.
Policies, Procedures & Compliance:
- Adheres to the Financial Transactions function processes, policies, and procedures.
- Understand and comply with the accounting policies laid down by the Group for all accounting transactions, like: Supporting documentation and Approvals.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in finance.
Job Specific skills:
- Good knowledge of General Accounting procedures.
- Proficient in data entry and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
Generic Skills:
- ERP (SAP) & PC Applications knowledge is preferable.
Competencies:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Details oriented.
- Commitment towards work.
