The Role:As a Merchandiser for MAC, you will plan stock and intake requirements to meet budgeted sales targets through building, selecting and buying ranges. You will also recommend retail pricing levels and decide sale lines and mark-down percentage strategies for all cosmetic products.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a female Arab professional who is flexible to travel, and who possesses a keen interest in the cosmetics industry. Through your work, you will primarily support the business in Kuwait, whilst also supporting the expansion of the brand in KSA.
This role is primarily based in Kuwait, however you will also be expected to travel to KSA on rare occasions to visit our stores there in order to assess demand-supply ratio and growth. Due to segregation laws in Saudi, it is essential therefore that this role be filled by an Arab female with fluency in the Arabic language.
Qualifications & Requirements:You will have:* At least 2 years' experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or similar* Previous retail experience* Fluency in Arabic and English (both oral and written communication)* Good MS Excel skills.
The ideal candidate for this role is a Native Arabic speaking female with strong English skills and a willingness to travel. Trips to KSA will not be frequent, but will be a vital part of the role, and so a candidate who is willing to operate for brief periods in Saudi would be preferred.
